Learn to Ski
Whether you are an advanced off-piste skier/boarder or a complete beginner, Vaujany is a great place to learn. For beginners, ski school meets at the ski station in the centre of the resort, armed with the reassurance of a teacher to help you with your first ski lift, you have quick access to the quiet Montfrais area which has plenty of green and blue runs to learn your first moves. For the more advanced skier you can quickly access some of the steepest and most technically challenging red and black runs, including the Sarenne (the longest black run in Europe) and the legendary Tunnel run. For those wanting to explore off the beaten track, ESF can arrange a guide to take you off-piste touring around Vaujany.
ESF
The Ecole du Ski Francais (French Ski School) offers qualified English speaking ski instructors and is based in the resort, with offices inside the ski station (next to where you buy lift passes). We highly recommend you book lessons in advance to avoid disappointment.
The care and dedication given by the Vaujany ESF surpasses many previous experiences of ESF in other resorts. Over 25 years the Vaujany ESF team has established a fantastic reputation for quality teaching and happy clients. Ski school is on offer as well as tailored individual lessons.
Having skied in France since the age of five, with various ski schools, we have found some of the best instruction in the Alps and still opt to have private lessons to improve technique and explore new challenges. Our children, aged from 3 – 11, are happily working their way through their badges desperate to improve each year.
To book ski lessons with ESF Vaujany please contact Wendy (pictured on the left) or Charlotte (pictured on the right) at ESF Vaujany, both speak excellent English and French:

Club Piou-Piou
The “Club Piou-Piou” welcomes children from 3 years old.
ESF have a children’s garden in Montfrais, accessible by the Montfrais télécabine. If both parents are not skiers then ESF is able to give a free “walker’s pass” to be able to go up in the télécabine to Montfrais. Otherwise you can also buy a “walker’s pass” separately at the ESF office.
